5 Excellent Reasons To Start a Blog with GrooveBlog

I first tried blogging when I worked in Liberia as life there was so different than anything I had experienced. I wanted to share images and a few words with others back home. I used a free Wordpress site and found my way around the media uploads and backend drafting area. I didn’t have a newsletter and I certainly wasn’t going to make any money from it because nothing was optimised in that direction. It worked fine at the time all those years ago. In fact you can still find it if you search as the words live on…(that’s something to think about.)

Fast forward 5 years and with my brain full of wonderful ideas, I committed to paying monthly for a Theme and product that enable me to have a website, newsletter, banner adverts and pretty much everything I wanted, blog included. It was a nice idea and I paid out for about 2 years before I faced the fact that I was never going to get past the tech overwhelm to actually write! It was a great idea but too complicated (and expensive).

Today I started with GrooveBlog. I was sceptical that this site would be anything better than the $480 I had paid over the 2 years for my fancy website theme, especially as Groove Funnels is still developing (in Beta). Within 63 minutes I had a sub-domain hosted by Groove Funnels, a blog written and published, and a 3 page ‘website’. Sure, there’s more to do, but the best thing is that I have a live platform and a place to express myself. I can speak my message. I can write and my words can inspire someone who is not yet my friend! (For free!)

My scepticism was unproven. Think about these 5 excellent reasons why you should start a blog with GrooveBlog.  

1. GrooveBlog is so darn easy to use! This is the third post I have written. I have already created and published two complete posts and this will be my third. Seriously, all I need to do is type out my message, find a pretty image to upload, do a little editing to my Categories and hit Publish. I haven't even spent three hours in total, yet. That is extremely easy and fast too!
2. The images are all FREE to use because GrooveBlog is linked with Unsplash. I can type a word into search (in media) and receive options of images that match my search - all free to use. If I prefer I can also use images that I took myself and have in my files. Either way, it is pretty much click to upload and edit if I wish and then my Featured Image is visible to everyone when I publish the post. I can even embed video into my posts (as you can see I haven’t tried that yet)
3. My hosted Domain is FREE. That's right, I didn’t need to purchase my Domain as I am using Groove Funnels as my host. Aside from the cost of Groove Funnels, (which is still an amazing deal if you sign up to the lifetime offer), I love that I won't have to chase through SiteGround or another hosting site to purchase and secure a Domain for my blog.
4. The Template provides everything I need. Sure I can have a pretty theme template with wordpress or a paid service (remember I already spent $500 doing that!), but why would I when I can have a GrooveBlog theme included in the cost of my Lifetime access. As GrooveBlog is in beta right now, I am sure they will add more themes in future, but for now, I have everything I need to start and publish my Blog.
5. There is room to Grow. I will be able to expand this Blog into a full Website when I am ready. I can include links to any landing pages that might be of interest. I will add my own regular email broadcast in future, if I want. I can see the potential already. So far I have been experimenting with the tool and it is more than enough for my needs.

I still have things to check which I will write about when I know more, for example, how good is the reach of this new blog? How easy is it to integrate with an email service provider? How convenient to add banner advertising and so forth, but if you are looking to start a blog and you want it to be easy and fast, I recommend that you start with GrooveBlog and grow as it grows. Start small and grow bigger in time.

The best thing for me is that I have rediscovered that thrill and desire to write and express myself! That’s priceless!
